Where is

the story?

We started this because we love a good story. And to tell a good story is something we aim for. From telling our own or to help other talents with their vision is just as important to us.

The sound of music

Let us communicate with the sound of silence. Are we good sound engineers? No absolutely not, but we have excellent skills in communicating between talents.

& where to begin?

Send us a line with your idea and where you wish for us to come in. Our services can come in the beginning where there is a spark of an idea forming to the final finishing touches of your project. We are here to help you bring your vision to life.

our journey

The Heroes journey to The Third Pole was our first project together and this was the birth of our friendship. Making this particular film will always have a big place in our hearts.

The Heroes journey to

The Third pole.

We follow Anna Tara Edwards, an Icelander raised in Nepal, and legendary musician

Högni Egilsson, as they journey to Anna's childhood home in the mountain jungles to explore the afflictions and "superpowers" that come with bipolar disorder.

The effect

We might say that bipolar awareness was much greater in Iceland following the release of the movie. It took great courage in our opinion for Anna & Högni to tell their stories in such a raw form. And to expose how the bipolar disorder can affect their daly life.

the journey.

The magic that comes with music. The reason to begin with, with this journey was to film a music concert. Anna was racing awareness for metal health in Nepal and lack of resources for help. She planned an fundraise concert for a suicide helpline for people in Nepal.

She succeeded, and today this helpline is available.

Apausalypse

DOC

When our premier for The Hero’s Journey to the Third Pole was cancelled due to the first Covid 19 lockdown in Iceland we went out with a very good camera to capture and explore what was happening in the world.

Apausalypse is a 52 minute documentary film by Anni Ólafsdóttir and Andri Snær Magnason, exploring the deeper meaning of the great pause, when the world stopped due to the Corona Pandemic.

The film can be seen here.

On time

and water

Over the next 200 years, we can expect all of the Earth's glaciers to disappear, unless we act now, says Andri Snær.

Telling the story of the Okjökull glacier in Iceland,

the first glacier lost to climate change, Andri explains why we need to start connecting to the future in a more intimate, urgent way in order to stabilize the Earth for generations to come.

We had the honor of getting music from the late Japanese musician and composer

Ryuichi Sakamoto.

The Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason was invited to give a TED talk about our glaciers and their future. This was during the COVID-19 pandemic, so lectures were conducted via Zoom and other digital means.

We decided to create a video instead, and “what the heck” lets just film it on an actual glacier.

lets just film it on an actual glacier.

The world is between us

Here we got to edit a beautiful peace from the musician

Árný Margrét. Directed by the extremely talented

Erlendur Sveinsson. The video was shot on a old fashioned film and the effect that original film makes is just absolutely beautiful. This was a very refreshing project and the music that Árný is making is groundbreaking in our opinion.

Looks like you need Iceland.

Sometimes you need to look at your own country like it’s not yours. Here we worked on a marketing campaign with Peel agentcy for Íslandsstofa /Inspired by Iceland.

Sometimes, you don’t know

what you need until you....

Looks like you need to visit Iceland.

And that’s what we did. With a talented team we packed our bags and we hit the roads of westbound of Iceland, and let the land speak for itself, spoiler: it had a lot to say. With Andri Haraldsson DOP and Arnar drone operator behind the lens, magic happened, in our opinion.

Among

the living

Among the living is a long and rich song by Marketa Irglova, written and composed during a special time in human history, when a pandemic swept across the globe. The song is dedicated to the millions of people that have suffered from loneliness, sickness, loss and grief. Director Anni Ólafsdóttir has long been fascinated by the term Tarantism: "To overcome melancholy with the uncontrollable urge to dance."

"To overcome melancholy with the uncontrollable urge to dance."

Marketa had already spoken to two dancers, Ale a gaga dancer from Paraguay and Yannier a classical ballet dancer born in Cuba, living in Iceland. Anni had a favourite contemporary dancer from Latvia, Klāvs Liepiņš that added the third element of dance and movement art to the piece.

Each dancer created his own response to the song and then they rehearsed together to synchronise their emotions and know each others movements. The song is an emotional journey almost 15 minutes, so the challenge is to make a short film, that keeps the arch of emotion, loss, love, and hope so the audience looses track of time. The story is open for anyone to interpret in his own way and Markéta’s text gives some guidance as well.

Music

We have elements of religion and grace, elements of despair, of being lonely among others, elements of water, symbols of the steps of grief and some symbols of hope. The characters are stuck in certain spaces but the movements show us that despite everything, hardship and grief does pass. Just like a dancer turns, the world keeps on turning and life continues and makes room for your next steps. This take on tarantism: to overcome melancholy through an uncontrollable urge to dance - will hopefully reach those that need it - inspire, maybe help and heal.
